I was born and raised in Los Angeles, and lived there most of my life. As a young boy, I spent four years at school in Switzerland, which influenced my career interests in my adult life. Back in the United States, I studied art and architecture and pursued a career in architecture, real estate, and received degrees from Dartmouth College and USC School of Architecture. In 2016, my wife and I became full-time Camano Island residents.

My wife gave me an 18’ rowing shell for my 70th birthday, and my children gave me painting lessons. I began rowing on Port Susan Bay and hiking in the Cascades, surrounded by the beauty of nature, which inspires my painting. Art has given me the freedom to express my feelings for the elements of nature.
