As a young boy, I spent four years going to school in Switzerland, which greatly impacted my adult life. Back in the United States, I studied art and architecture and pursued a career in architecture, real estate, and received degrees from Dartmouth College and USC School of Architecture. In 2016, my wife and I became full-time Camano Island residents.

My wife gave me an 18’ rowing shell for my 75th birthday, and my children gave me painting lessons. I began rowing on Port Susan Bay, surrounded with the beauty of nature, which inspired my painting. Art has given me total freedom to express my feelings for the elements of nature.
